Hi guys. This post is about what I did in Mexico City. I am on the plane that is leaving for Paris. It was the first time I have been in a country that doesn't speak my language! Fortunately I learned some basic Mexican before I left home. I thought you might like to see what I learned.
Yes: Si
No: No
Please: Por Favor
Thank you: Gracias
Hello: Hola
Goodbye: Adious
Do you speak English: Hablas Ingles
I don't understand: No Entiendo
These are some of the basic Mexican words. I learned lots more but it would take too long to type them all.
The first place that I went when I arrived in Mexico on Tuesday was the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It was so beautiful. I even saw the Tilma that has the picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe on it! It was really amazing. This is me in front of the church. Isn't it beautiful!
After I went to the Basilica, I went to See the Pyramid of the Sun. The Pyramid of the Sun was built by the
Teotihuacanos. They didn't name it what it is called now. That is what the Aztec's called it when they came to live there after the Teotihuacanos abandoned it. What the Teotihuacanos called it, no one knows. This is me sitting in front of the Pyramid.
I went to the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral after I had lunch. I had Tacos for lunch. The Cathedral was really awesome. It was huge! Guess what! It was even a Catholic cathedral!!!!!!!
I did all that on Tuesday. Afterwards, I was really tired. I had a good night's sleep and then was ready to go to Chapultepec Zoo. It was really amazing to see all the animals. There were so many different ones. Here are some pictures that I took of them.
Aren't all these animals beautiful. I saw lots more but I can't put in all my pictures. Going to the Zoo took all of my day. On Thursday, I went to the most fun place ever! I went to Six Flags. Six Flags is an adventure park. It is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is me at the front gate.
There were so many rides that I couldn't decide what to take photo's of. Just imagine Adventure world or Disney world. It is similar to that but also different! It is so hard to explain! All I can say for certain is that it was really, really fun. There were roller-coasters, water slides and almost anything else that you can think of.
I am now looking forward to going to Paris. I am on the plane there right now! C-U soon!
